Golden Era' vertellen de pratende hoofden over hoe bijzonder het was om een
cable channel te hebben dat echte films uitzond. Veel fragmenten die naar
meer doen verlangen. Jammer dat ze het nooit hebben aangedurfd om Sam
Peckinpah's 'Das Eiserne Kreuz' (Cross of Iron) in deutsche verfassung uit te
zenden. Die lag sinds 1983 bij de ARD zó op de plank.

Helaas, je hebt helemaal niets van Z Channel begrepen. Die film ging
natuurlijk eigenlijk over de fundamentalistisch katholieke vader van de
programmeur van Z Channel. Die ouwe man vergreep zich niet alleen aan de
zusjes van de filmprogrammeur maar dreef ook zijn zoon tot erge zaken. Die
vader-zoon-subtekst maakte alle quotes van Quentin en Paul en Sam en James
en Robert maar tot bijzaak. Des te triester is het dat jij 'm totaal niet
hebt opgepikt.
