De strip was ogenschijnlijk getekend door Joe Orlando, maar het grootste deel van het artwork was eigenlijk afgeleid van de klassieke <em>Prince Valiant<\/em>-strips van Hal Foster. Lucas Smeets ontdekte in dit verhaal van 44 pagina&#8217;s maar liefst 167 gevallen van door <em>Prince Valiant<\/em> ge\u00efnspireerde tekeningen. Dit boekje toont ze alle 167 overtuigend. Lucas Smeets (1951) is striptekenaar. Sinds 1998 geeft hij de \u2018familiestrip\u2019 Venlo-Internationaal uit.<br \/>\nEngelstalig.<\/p>\n<p><em>Classics Illustrated no. 130 (Caesar\u2019s Conquests)<\/em> is a prime example of visual plagiarism or \u201ccomic swiping.\u201d The story was ostensibly drawn by Joe Orlando, but most of the artwork was actually derived from Hal Foster\u2019s classic <em>Prince Valiant<\/em> comics.
